April 15, 2021

High Criteria Inc. Announces the Immediate Availability of the Liberty Court Recorder, Version 8.2.

High Criteria Inc, a world leader in computer audio / video recording systems, today announced the immediate availability of the newest version of the Liberty Court Recording system for recording courtroom and other legal proceedings. The Liberty Court Recorder is a digital recording application that runs on a PC or laptop and records multiple audio channels directly to the computer hard-drive.

The Liberty System offers a state-of-the-art recording system for courtrooms and other judicial venues. The Liberty system also includes a court-specific conferencing add-on that replaces general-purpose conferencing systems in the courtroom.

Enhancements in Version 8.2 include:

  • The Recorder s Remote Conferencing facility has been significantly enhanced with the ability to manage conferences with large numbers of remote parties connected to the Recorder over the Internet. The audio and the video associated with these remote parties are saved into individual channels for audio / video playback during transcription. All of the audio and video media is encrypted during transmission using standards dictated by the U.S. Institute of Standards and Technology NIST Special Publication 800-131A.
  • The Recorder may now be launched as a Windows Service for environments where the application runs on a courthouse server.
  • Ability to undo and redo operations when working with bookmarks.
  • Support for Wolfvision Cynap IP cameras.
  • A new option settings dialog allows for the customization of local keyboard shortcut keys along with the introduction of additional functions that can be controlled using keyboard shortcuts.
  • The Video Window facility has been enhanced in several ways. All of the recorded video streams may now be shown in a single General Video Window. This General Window may be resized and stretched both laterally and horizontally, according to the user s purpose. The General Video Window can be resized to create a column of video playback streams that can be placed on one side or the other of the monitor, or the General Video Window can be resized to create a row of video playback streams that may be positioned at the top or the bottom of the monitor. In addition to the General Video display Window, the user can click on any individual video playback stream and isolate any of the streams into an individual display Window that can be resized according to the user s needs.
  • The program now allows you to minimize any of the individual program Windows by clicking on the standard minimize button. Individually minimized Windows are shown on the lower left portion of the Desktop and may be restored by double-clicking on the Window icon.
  • A number of other internal updates and enhancements.

Version 8.2 of both the Liberty Recorder and the no-cost Player are available immediately. The Player may be downloaded from the High Criteria web site at www.LibertyRecording.com.
